To coincide with the COP15 Climate Change Summit, MPI organised a special forum at London’s Barbican to debate how the meetings and events industry should respond. Ian Whiteling caught up with the vice president of membership at MPI UK and Ireland and associate director at Metro Broadcast, Liz Rice, to find out what topped the agenda.

  • Great initiative of MPI UK to run a session in parallel to COP 15. Liz Rice points out the benefits in the event experience and budget reduction measures shown by real life examples. Building professionalism in educational aspects to increase the ability to measure, control and reduce co2 emission is the very first action point for the meetings industry.
