The Zhengzhou International Convention and Exhibition Centre (ZZICEC) in China has posted record results and strong growth approaching for the third quarter of the year, highlighting China growing importance.

Record Results: ZZIEC benefits from China's boomtime
In excess of 452,000 people attended exhibitions and conferences at ZZEIC from January to June 2008. The ZZICEC hosted 38 events from January to June 2008, driving total revenue up 33%. Exhibitions recorded stunning result when compared to the same period in 2007, with occupied gross area up 24% to 260,000sqm and total exhibition sales area up 53% to 2,400,000sqm.
The recurrent success of the China National Tourism Trade Fair and the Spring National Pharmaceutical Equipment Expo confirmed the centre’s position as one of the most sought-after business venues in China, which recorded 42,000 attendances and 66,000 attendances respectively.
Some 18,000 audiences attended the 2008 International Tourism Beauty Pageant, a glamorous event with contestants from 108 countries.
Other new exhibitions at the ZZICEC included the Central China International Agriculture Expo, the Asian Art Festival Expo and the China Franchise Stores Exhibition.
