Indonesian state Bali played host to more than 45 senior managers from 11 hotels and resorts in HPL Hotels & Resorts, for the Managers’ Conference.

Attendees included a cross-section of staff from Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur, Concorde Hotel Shah Alam, Concorde Inn Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Concorde Hotel Singapore, The Lakehouse – Cameron Highlands, Casa del Mar – Langkawi, Hard Rock Hotel Bali, Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya, Hard Rock Hotel Penang, Rihiveli and Kandooma in Maldives.

Senior managers from HPL Hotels & Resorts, including chairman Stephen Lau, vice president of operations Greg Lee, vice presidents of marketing Edmund Nicholas, vice president of finance Chan Sen Tai and vice president of human resource Kumar Chakrabarty, also attended the conference.

“This is the first time after three years we have all the senior managers under one roof, I’m seeing exciting interactions among the managers across different brands,” said Lee.

The two-day conference focused on branding, sales and marketing, and staff recruitments and retentions.
