European cities in the leisure and convention sectors. The network

What we do
European Cities Marketing aims to strengthen city tourism by:
- giving sales and marketing opportunities,
- communicating information
- sharing knowledge and expertise
- educating
- and working together on an operational level.
It is the focal point for Europe’s meetings industry and for
International Clients willing to organise events in Europe. Today,
Europe is still at the forefront of the meeting and leisure industry as
a leading destination, but to win the game of tomorrow, Europe must
promote itself as a unified destination, and European Cities
Marketing’s mission is to play this essential role.
European Cities Marketing is the reference point for all clients when they are planning an event in Europe.
The organisation also offers the possibility to attend international fairs under the umbrella of European Cities Marketing.
By offering a common platform to members to share expertise and work
together in a unique way, members and potential members will
automatically learn and benefit from developing their professional
interest beyond the national borders and outside their own environment.
European Cities Marketing represents the
members’ interests to the EU and other tourism and meetings industry
organisations. It is widely recognized that no other organisation can
offer the same advantages of working together in the meeting Industry
and in the Tourism sector.
How we do it
The association is composed of two forums, Tourism and Conventions. You can choose one of them or join both.
The
Convention Forum aims to teach destinations and Convention Bureaus to
act as a professional “one-stop-shop” for the professional meeting
planners. The Summer School is the most professional source for education for young CVB staff in Europe. The Meet Europe event creates business opportunities for the members.
In the Tourism Forum, various working groups focus on: information technology, research, statistics, marketing, communication, and city cards.
The annual programme of activity includes: a City Break Exhibition, a
major conference, workshops, seminars and research studies.
