The challenges events industry organisations are facing in the current economic climate when competing for new business will be the subject of this year’s ICCA UK & Ireland Summer Debate, which will be run in conjunction with the ICCA Iberian chapter.
Entitled ‘Winning Business by Adding Value’, it will take place on 25-26 June at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre in Scotland.
Delegates will hear speaker presentations from representatives of both the association and corporate sector giving their recommendations for creating successful marketing plans, the use of social networking sites and the value of destination marketing.
Speakers will also advise on successful budgeting as well as maximising sponsorship and other sales opportunities. The debate will close with an extensive panel discussion.
“Organisations are having to become much more creative when it comes to pitching for business and securing opportunities for growth, particularly in today’s economy,” said chair of ICCA UK & Ireland James Rees.
“The Summer debate will offer delegates the opportunity to not only learn from bidders who have successfully won business, but also share their own thoughts and advice on adding real, relevant value to potential clients.”
