Crystal Interactive, a pioneer of delegate brainstorming and feedback systems for meetings and events, is to run a workshop based around the ideas in its recent report ‘How to Create Events that are Fit for Purpose’.

The workshop, talking place in London on 4 July, gives meetings and conference organisers and planners the chance to put the theory into practice.

“Literally hundreds of client conversations have revealed that many haven’t properly identified that they want their events to achieve,” said Crystal Interactive managing director Chris Elmitt. “Some would cite objectives, such as keeping the event to time, and on budget, but few give much thought to the desired outcomes in terms of resultant delegate attitudes and behaviours. And setting objectives is just the foundation – the key to real success lies in designing the event content to ensure that those objectives can be achieved.

“Our first workshop in March attracted 45 delegates and encouraged us to continue with the series,” he continued. “We’ll be demonstrating how to identify real event objectives that convert into measurable evaluations. Attendees will have live, hands-on practice at formatting events, experience how to integrate interactive solutions within their events, and hear from clients who have sought to engage their audiences with interactive technology.”
