This month saw Dolce Hotels and Resorts begin work on the latest addition to its global portfolio, the €50 million Dolce Munich in Germany.

The completion of Dolce Munich, situated in Unterschleißheim, is planned for April 2010 and it will sit proudly at the gates of the Bavarian state capital next to Dolce’s BallhausForum conference facility.

Following in the footsteps of Dolce Bad Nauheim near Frankfurt, Dolce Munich’s is further proof of Dolce’s commitment to the international meetings and conference industry.

Dolce Munich will boast 1,655 square meters dedicated to delegates, offering meeting rooms, break out spaces, with cyber-cafés and an executive concierge to handle each group’s needs.

The food and beverage facilities will include spacious buffet areas for conference guests, including an indoor garden and an upscale restaurant, as well as seasonal menus, a certified sommelier onsite, and a signature Dolce Sweet dessert.

The development will also include a full service spa and wellness centre, complete with lobby sports bar, swimming pool, four treatment rooms, sauna and steam bath.

Accommodation-wise, Dolce Munich will offer 255 rooms, including 22 junior suites, three presidential suites with terraces, and the Executive Sky Lounge.

“Dolce Munich is just the beginning,” said Philippe Attia, senior vice president of Dolce Hotels and Resorts in Europe. “We are currently conducting negotiations on locations in large European cities such as Hamburg, Vienna, Amsterdam and London.”
