Located in the heart of the City of London, the Barbican is Europe's largest Arts & Conference Centre, offering a wealth of conference, exhibition and banqueting space.

Seating up to 1947, Barbican Hall plays host to corporate events ranging from graduations to AGM's. For slightly more compact events, Barbican Theatre with its excellent acoustics and production facilities, makes an ideal venue for product launches.

The Barbican also offers facilities for smaller events ranging in capacity from 10 to 280 delegates. Seating from 153 to 280 delegates, the three cinemas are well-appointed comfortable auditoriums suitable for the most sophisticated presentation. In addition, seven conference suites can be used for board meetings or as syndicate spaces.

Corporate hospitality packages are also available where a visit to a performance or exhibition is followed by drinks and/or dinner in our conservatory and garden room. A tropical, indoor oasis, the conservatory is home to over 2,000 species of plants, quails, finches and koi carp and offers a unique venue in the City of London.

Awards

The Barbican is proud to have won a number of awards recognizing its venue, website and environmental policies.
These include a Platinum Award in the Clean City Awards 2007, which recognize those City businesses committed to the environment and sustainability issues arising from their business operations. The Barbican continually strives to increase internal awareness of environmental implications of the way it operates and is constantly improving its environmental efficiency.

Focusing on the corporate market, in November 2007 the Barbican team won the Visit London Silver Award for best Business Venue for its conference, banqueting and exhibition facilities.

Over the last seven years the Barbican has undergone a £16.4million refurbishment project which has resulted in a prestigious RIBA Regional Award 2007 for Allford Hall Monaghan Morris’ clean re-design for the Centre’s entrances, foyers and art gallery. This latest architectural award is another acknowledgement of the Barbican’s successful projects which have been completed at the end of 2006.

This is the second award that the Barbican has received in respect of this project: at the 2007 Design Week Awards the award for Wayfinding and Environmental Graphics went to the Barbican’s signage designers Cartlidge Levene and Studio Myerscough acknowledging their success in the efforts to make the Barbican more accessible and easier to navigate.
