HUMAN RESOURCES: Addressing the shortage of talent in the Gulf

One of the hot themes for this year’s Gulf Meetings and Events Conference in Abu Dhabi was the lack of human capital across the region. Despite the meetings and events industry being vital to the development of the Gulf and the relative over-supply of infrastructure, the industry is looking at a worrying shortfall in talent in the coming years. James Latham caught up with MPI’s chief development officer, Didier Scaillet, to find out what the industry is doing to tackle this.
