Although it’s uncertain what the future holds under the current volatile economic landscape, what is in no doubt is the increasing popularity of Maritim Hotels’ meetings and conference facilities in Germany.
In comparison to the same period of last year, in 2008 the average number of international guests involved in conferences increased by 30.4%, and mainly came from the USA, the UK, Switzerland and Japan.
Specialising in the conference and congress market since 1969, Maritim currently operates 37 German venues, in all key cities, including Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Munich.
Despite the global credit crunch, Maritim reports that from January to July this year, conference enquiries rose by 15% compared to 2007.
The company puts a large part of its success down to its concept of “conference and living under one roof”, as well as its broad offer – Maritim delivers not only large congresses, but also small meetings and events for up to 50 people.
Maritim has also been growing its offer in Germany, opening a new property in Dusseldorf in December 2007. The company also runs 13 venues outside Germany.
