GIBTM targets live events and production companies for first time

The Middle East show dedicated to meetings, incentive, conferences, events and business travel, GIBTM, is developing a new dedicated area for live communication and event production agencies.

Taking place at ADNEC in Abu Dhabi from 31 March to 2 April 2009, the new area will be the home for companies that provide event planners and organisers with design and creative solutions and ideas for creating engaging meetings and events in the Gulf and Middle East Region.

Organiser Reed Travel Exhibitions claims some of the region’s top experts and professional organisations have already shown interest in participating at GIBTM, and the focus for this part of the industry will reflect that demand.

“We see the need to complete the offering to the Gulf region’s meetings and events industry,” said exhibition director Graeme Barnett. “We are seeking to attract top-end live communication and event production agencies that can provide creative and dynamic solutions to produce effective and memorable event experiences.

“Providing a selection of the best live communication and production agencies from across the Gulf is a natural addition to destination and venue products already exhibiting at GIBTM and will provide our international Hosted Buyers and regional planner buyers with support solutions for their events, incentives, congresses and conferences.”
