Congrex appointed conference organiser for IFLA 2010 Congress

Congrex has been appointed the conference organiser for the 2010 IFLA Congress to be held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre on 14-19 August 2010.
Congrex has a longstanding core PCO relationship with IFLA and are very eager to deliver another very successful event. The IFLA Congress is the premier global library and information conference and is expected to attract around 3,500 to 4,000 participants. Jennefer Nicholson, secretary general of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions, said: "IFLA is looking forward to again working together with Congrex on what will be another very successful and professionally rewarding international annual congress. IFLA values Congrex’s capacity and ability to deliver full conference management services for IFLA in a different city each year."
Keith Webster, chair of the National Committee, said that the committee is proud to work with Congrex and thinks highly of their professionalism and ability to deliver events tailored to IFLA’s needs.
Caroline Mackenzie, managing director, Congrex Glasgow Office is also very pleased with the appointment. “IFLA is one of the most prestigious congresses to organise. The participants are always very enthusiastic and for our team this is a very rewarding event to organise,” she said.
Congrex will provide budget managing, registration handling, onsite support and other core PCO duties. The Congrex team organising this event includes Christine Graham, Carol Welsh, Suzanne Redmond, Elaine Fulton and Sharon McIntyre.
