ExCeL London named Business Venue of the Year

The fifth annual Visit London Awards, held recently at iconic venue the Royal Albert Hall, saw ExCeL London honoured as Business Venue of the Year, beating off strong competition from other finalists.

The award ceremony celebrates excellence in all aspects of business tourism in the UK capital.

“This is another fantastic achievement for the team at ExCeL London, demonstrating not only how the venue continues to build on its growing success, but reflecting an ongoing programme of investment in our staff and in our facilities to deliver a really first class service to all our customers,” said the venue’s chief executive Kevin Murphy.

Among the guests in attendance was Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, who last month placed a commemorative foundation stone at ExCeL London, signalling the beginning of the venue’s expansion plans, which will include a 5,000-seat, flexible auditorium.
