Hotel and conference group Principal Hayley has recently introduced its food and beverage brand Tempus to Cranage Hall, based in Crewe near Manchester.
Cranage Hall is the first of the group’s dedicated conference venues to feature Tempus, which was part of a £850,000 refurbishment.
Tasty retreat: Cranage Hall to offer Tempus catering
“The introduction of Tempus into Cranage Hall is the first of our plans to revitalise food and beverage offerings for the conference and training venues within the Group,” said Mark Staples, food and beverage development director at Principal Hayley. “We want to use the food to create an oasis away from the learning environment, allowing delegates to relax, unwind and really enjoy the food they are eating. Our priorities will be to ensure all food is sourced locally where possible, and menus reflect the seasons and location of the venues.”
Staples is also responsible for re-introducing the Principal Hayley Hearts Scheme allowing delegates to easily see how healthy the food is on offer, with venues featuring daily superfoods on their menus. The food will also reflect the time of the day, for example, ensuring there is something that will provide energy to delegates in the afternoons.
The additional redevelopment of Cranage Hall has seen the upgrading of the venue’s reception and public areas, a new high-spec gym and the expansion of the meeting room product.
“These are exciting times for Cranage Hall,” said the venue’s general manager Emyr Jones. “We have a great reputation for our business product and the additional investment allows us to continue to upgrade.
“We’re delighted to be the first to roll out the rebranded food and beverage offering to our delegates. It’s an important aspect of the overall conference experience, and one of the best ways to leave delegates with a lasting impression of a venue.
“Tempus will give our visitors a contemporary restaurant ambiance, with quality food and great service,” he continued. “It allows us to extend our reach into banqueting and wedding business by offering a food brand visitors can trust. Tempus is fast becoming a brand that both our leisure and business guests believe represents quality food that is right for their visit.”
