MPI brings high octane networking to Torino
16/02/2009 by Ian Whiteling, Joint Editor in Chief
Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and Shockfish SA today announced that Spotme will sponsor the European Meetings and Events Conference (EMEC) in Torino from 1-3 March 2009.
Building on last year’s success in London, each participant will receive an award-winning Spotme device, loaded with the latest features, to use during the event.
New this year, participants can select a preferred language from among eight different choices: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Danish, Russian and Mandarin. The user interface will be re-configured to match the theme of the event – Connect to Passion. Participants will be able to vote in real time and submit questions and comments to speakers during some of the plenary sessions.
"Spotme has helped MPI build a strong international community at our European conferences in the past, and we are delighted that they are sponsoring this year’s event," said Joyce Dogniez, CMM, and director of operations EMEA of MPI.
Meanwhile, Banz Ledin, chief executive of Spotme Inc commented: “We are excited to collaborate with MPI again this year. We have been working hard on new innovations that we hope the MPI community will enjoy.”
Sponsored by The Rezidor Hotel Group, Spotme will also allow EMEC participants to:
– Quickly identify other participants with the searchable photo database.
– Expand their network by exchanging business cards.
– Navigate through the Italian city of Torino using built-in maps.
– Retrieve all conference data via a personalised post-event website.
