GIBTM harnesses power of networking

Recognising the importance of networking to the meetings industry, the Gulf incentive travel and meetings show, GIBTM, has organised three events around the subject.

Focused on the theme ‘The Power of Networking @ GIBTM’, the events provide opportunities for hosted buyers, visitors and sponsors to participate in social and business networking.

The events start with an Icebreaker reception for hosted buyers and VIP guests, which will be held on the evening prior to GIBTM, 30 March, sponsored and hosted by the Hilton Hotel Abu Dhabi.

A second networking event, the GIBTM Opening Night Welcome Reception in association with meetme magazine and hosted by ADNEC, takes place on Tuesday 31 March, as a grand welcome to all participants.

Finally, on Wednesday 1 April, Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) and The Beach Rotana Hotel & Towers play hosts to the Gala Evening Reception. Entertainment and networking in the hotels gardens and pool area will enable guests to cement business relationships made at the show.

“The event has a reputation of providing the very best networking opportunities for exhibitors, hosted buyers, visitors and sponsors,” said GIBTM exhibition director Graeme Barnett. “We recognise the importance and value of the industry coming together in less formal surroundings, away from the show floor, to socialise and ‘do business’.”
