ExCeL London has announced it will host the annual RSA® Conference Europe, a leading information security conference which will take place from 22nd – 24th October 2007. This year's Conference will include a closing keynote speech from Frank Abagnale, the world's foremost authority on fraud and identity theft, and the subject of the 2002 film 'Catch Me If You Can'. This is the first time London has been chosen as the location for the event.

RSA Conference Europe will offer comprehensive and unbiased knowledge sharing with more than 60 sessions – including keynotes, breakout sessions and tutorials – and unparalleled opportunities for executive level and peer networking. RSA Conference Europe will also offer access to products, technologies and solutions where more than 40 security vendors will showcase their latest innovations.

The event is aimed at virtually every profession involved in information security and is expected to attract between 1,500 -1,800 delegates from around the world. Those expected to attend RSA Conference Europe will come primarily from major industry verticals including financial services, Government, telecommunications, security services, software development and education, academia and research.

Now in its eighth year, RSA Conference Europe has previously been held in Nice, France; Vienna, Austria; Barcelona, Spain; and Munich, Germany. Organisers have decided to base the Conference at ExCeL London for the next three years, to capitalise on London being the home to the European headquarters of 33% of the Fortune Global 500 and the base for 25% of Europe's software security companies.

Linda Lynch, Manager, RSA Conference Europe, said: "ExCeL London was the perfect choice for RSA Conference Europe as it has the capacity, facilities, location, transport links and flexibility to ensure that RSA Conference Europe is a leading security industry event not only for 2007 but over the next three years."

Vanessa Cotton, managing director of ExCeL London's conference and events division comments: "We are delighted that RSA Conference Europe has chosen London and our venue for this highly important event. This is a real flagship event for London and we'll be working extremely hard over the next three years to ensure its success."
