Shandong City gets first five-star

A new hotel and meetings venue has opening in Shouguang City, Shandong, China. The Shandong Chenming Great International is the first hotel built to global five-star standards in the city.

Covering a 75,000 square-meter construction area and positioned as a deluxe business and meeting hotel, the Shandong Chenming is located at the Mihe Scenic Area at the east of Shouguang, near the new administration centre of the city.

The hotel has 343 guestrooms and suites. It consists of a main building, another attached and a villa. Its main building has a 1,200-square-meter lounge, Chinese and Western restaurants, a large ballroom and several private banquet rooms, a fitness center, indoor swimming room and other entertainment facilities. The villa is designed according to five-star presidential suite standards and is equipped with a massage room, restaurant, meeting room, kitchen, entertainment room, and several bedrooms.

The hotel is a jointly owned by Shandong Chenming Paper Group and a Hong Kong-based company, costing RMB250 million to develop. It is managed by Beijing Wangfujing Hotel Management Company.
