Recognising the rising importance of event catering, UK venue Hever Castle, which dates back to 1270, has appointed conference and banqueting specialists Leith's to provide all its catering needs.

"We are delighted to welcome Leith's to our unique venue,” said Duncan Leslie, the venue’s chief executive. “Visitor numbers are increasing, and we are also seeing a rising number of high profile clients' book their events here as well. We recognise catering as a very important part of our attraction and are committed to ensure it is of the highest possible standard for every meeting and event held at the venue."

Hever Castle: Now tastes as good as it looks!

Hever Castle is most famous for being the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, one of Henry VIII's ill-fated wives and the mother of Queen Elizabeth I. Set in over 600 acres, the castle and it's adjoining Astor Wing are available all year round on an exclusive-use basis for conferences, day meetings, company away days, receptions, private lunches and dinners. Companies using the venue’s meetings and events facilities recently include private bank Coutts & Co, telecoms company T Mobile, oil giant Shell and UK bank RBS.

The new contract will see Leith's introduce new menus for the two visitor restaurants on site, as well as managing all of the Astor Wing's event catering.
